Stories of Hope

After graduating from TCA, Joshua went on to earn a Master's Degree in Microelectronics and is now an Operations Manager at a solar company. He also serves as a youth pastor and sits on the Board of Directors at Tagaytay Christian Academy.

After graduating from TCA as a sponsored student, Haidee earned her BS in Education and became a licensed teacher. She has now been teaching at TCA for 14 years. Her two children are also studying at TCA, and she now sponsors her nephews there as well. Haidee also serves in our community outreach program, teaching children in under-resourced communities.

JR came to TCA through one of our outreach programs. Pastor JD and Edna Auxtero, TCA board members, sponsored his college education, and he graduated with a BS in Music. He is now an excellent and dedicated music teacher at TCA. JR also serves in TCA's Youth Fellowship — leading worship, teaching God's Word, and leading a small group. He additionally serves as Music Director at In His Presence Christian Church (IHPCC), TCA's partner in ministry.

Daisy and her family came from a remote, under-resourced community in the forests of Tagaytay. After witnessing the tragic murder of her father, she found her life powerfully transformed by God at TCA. She was the first in her family to come to know Jesus Christ, and God has since used her as an instrument to bring the rest of her family to faith as well. Her two younger brothers are now studying at TCA as sponsored students. Daisy now works as an Administrative Assistant and Accounting Clerk for an outsourcing company based in New Zealand. She also serves as a teacher in the Children's Ministry at IHPCC.

Through the outreach ministry of TCA and IHPCC, Aga became a Christian. TCA and IHPCC also provided him with employment in facilities maintenance, security, and janitorial work. For almost 20 years, Aga has faithfully served God as a member of the Men's Fellowship, a Bible study teacher in the outreaches, and a bold and passionate evangelist.

Anthony Carlito, Aga Otilrac’s son, is a previously sponsored kid of TCA. He is in his 3rd year of college as a Dean Lister Scholar, majoring as a Seafarer. He also serves in the tech team of IHPCC and assists his father every weekend to clean the school and church premises for Sunday worship service.

Primo lives with myelomeningocele, a condition in which the spinal cord and nerves protrude from the back in a fluid-filled sac. This causes challenges like leg weakness and bladder or bowel difficulties. At TCA, we provide a special needs program for students like Primo, and we pray, encourage, and go the extra mile to help every child develop their full potential.
