Why give?

  • It is more blessed to give than to receive Acts 22:35

  • For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.’ Matthew 25:35

  • I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me. Matthew 25:30

  • He who is kind to the poor lends to the LORD, and he will reward him for what he has done. Proverbs 19:17

  • He who gives to the poor will lack nothing, but he who closes his eyes to them receives many curses. Proverbs 28:27

  • Sell your possessions and give to the poor. Provide purses for yourselves that will not wear out, a treasure in heaven that will not be exhausted, where no thief comes near and no moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Luke 12:33

“It is more blessed to give than to receive but I received more than I gave.”
